A.R.E.S.: Extinction Agenda - One Hour Trial

I have over 190 games on Steam now thanks to Humble Bundle and Steam Summer Sales. So in order to justify my outrageous purchasing habits I will be playing each "new" game for one hour then post my thoughts here.

So what to say about A.R.E.S.: Extinction Agenda? Well I think it's a good game, but I don't like it very much, and here's why;

Controls
Character Speed
Enemy Difficulty

Some may say that those are things I could easily get over. Well having never really beaten a Mega Man game in my entire life I say no. The game claims to be a mesh of Metroid and Mega Man. So I thought to myself, I'm good at Metroid games, maybe I can be good at this game. Sadly A.R.E.S. sports too much of the Mega Man schema to be anywhere near playable for me. Sure I'm able to stumble through a level, but it's not very enjoyable. Another annoying bit is that there's no soundtrack to the game. I think that it may have been a glitch, but the two DLC's for the game are the soundtrack and an optional character costume.

A.R.E.S. can be a fun game, but it's far too frustrating for me. Searching through different reviews of the game show similar issues to what I've experienced, and overall average reviews say the game is well... average. The soundtrack is supposedly really awesome, but I wouldn't know since my game seems to be broken. Anyway, valiant effort, but poor execution. Therefore I'm forced to uninstall the game from Steam so it will never be played again. If only I could resell my Steam games through Steam...
